Concentric Recovery
A multi-dimensional recovery community to support you in moving beyond addiction, in all its many forms.

Why?
Addiction is among the greatest social problems of modernity.
The World Health Organization estimates that over 35 million people suffer from substance use disorders, and claim the lives of 585,000 people each year. Although staggering, these numbers represent just a small fraction of the total addicted population when considering behavioral addictions (like eating, work, sex, and technology use) as well.
The modern societal prevalence of substances and activities that provide quick, easy, and intense releases of dopamine means that addiction is pervasive in the world today. While a given person might not have a story of addiction that entails severe consequences or the imperative to enter a dedicated treatment program, they likely know someone who has, and likely struggle with addiction in other ways.
Addiction is on the rise, and unfortunately, treatment outcomes are among the worst when compared to other mental health issues. The ineffectiveness of treatment is rooted in an outdated paradigm that classifies addiction as a brain disease. Contemporary science makes it clear– addiction is a complex, multi-dimensional phenomenon that calls for a multidimensional, holistic approach in its understanding and treatment.
There is a need for more effective, multi-dimensional treatment methods that support participants in not only achieving sobriety, but moving through addiction into a life of deep joy and meaning.
Addiction is pervasive in the world today.
Whether with the shiny little computers in our pockets incessantly beckoning our attention or work or sex or mind-altering substances, we can all recognize patterns of addiction in ourselves or someone we love. For many of us, addiction entails a great deal of suffering.
AND…
What if addiction were a call?
An opportunity?
An open doorway through which we could pass into a deeper and more participatory version of our lives?
These questions sit at the center of our community. We hope you’ll join us in gathering around these questions as they apply to our experience of addiction.
“It's unusual for me to open up so vulnerably, especially in a group of relative strangers, but Davis made the session feel welcoming and without judgement. My biggest takeaway is that I can be flawed and be accepted, which has helped to remove some of the shame I feel surrounding my addiction.”
All are welcome.

Meet Your Facilitator: Davis Cowles
Davis Cowles is a breath coach, yoga teacher, and men’s work facilitator who walks the path of healing with both personal reverence and professional commitment. He is the founder of Moon & Back, a community-centric offering rooted in the belief that living well is a shared endeavor—one we arrive at through authentic embodiment and connection to the natural world.
Davis’s journey into nervous system health and somatic work is shaped by a lifetime of proximity to addiction and recovery, both in his family and his own experience. That history led him to the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model, where he trained in trauma-informed care specifically for addiction, and to a wider synthesis of modalities that support sustainable transformation. His work integrates yoga, breathwork, and nervous system education—not just as techniques, but as invitations to come home to ourselves.
Before coaching, Davis worked in science, education, and outdoor leadership. He holds a degree in Coastal Environmental Science with a minor in Spanish from Louisiana State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Ogden Honors College. His early professional years included teaching high school biology and Spanish, guiding wilderness trips, and facilitating experiential education. A profound curiosity has always guided his path—across ecosystems, languages, and inner landscapes.
Today, Davis supports individuals and groups through coaching, breathwork, and somatic practice. He creates spaces where people can gather sincerely, honor their stories, and return to the Earth that holds us all.
